Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Self. iPhone app and the website farotechnologies.app, provided by Faretin Faredin, trading as Faro Technologies, Prof. Alexsandar Tanev, 460G, Mladost 4, 1715 Sofia, Bulgaria ("we", "us"). By using them you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

1. The app is free

Self. is free to download and use, and nothing in it is locked behind a payment. You may optionally support us with a tip or the Supporter Pack, which unlocks cosmetic extras such as themes and alternate icons. Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's terms, and refunds are handled by Apple. Tips are a voluntary thank-you and unlock nothing.

2. Not medical advice

Self. is a personal habit, sleep, mood and journaling tool. It does not provide medical or psychological advice and is not a substitute for a professional. Consult a qualified professional before changing your sleep or health routines. If you are in crisis or think you may harm yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line right away.

3. Your content

What you write and track in the app stays on your device and belongs to you. You are responsible for keeping your device and backups secure. Because we don't hold your data, we can't recover it if you delete the app or lose your device and have no backup.

4. Acceptable use

Use the app and website lawfully. Don't attempt to disrupt the website, probe it for vulnerabilities without our permission, send spam through the forms, or copy, reverse engineer or resell the app except as the law allows.

5. Our rights

We own the app, its design, code, and the Faro Technologies and Self. names and marks. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your Apple devices, subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and these terms.

6. Waitlist

Joining the waitlist is not a purchase or a guarantee of early access. We may change, delay, or cancel any release.

7. Availability and changes

The app and website are provided "as is" and "as available". We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept the changes.

8. Disclaimer and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app or website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
